Kerk joined PI in 2021 and has over 15 years of institutional equity sales experience and private client advisory. Prior to joining PI, he was the Head of the Sales and Trading at ATB Capital Markets, and co-head of the same at AltaCorp Capital, a firm that he co-founded in 2011 which ATB acquired. Before then, Kerk was SVP of Institutional Sales at Macquarie Capital Markets, joining after Macquarie’s acquisition of Tristone Capital.
Kerk has deep experience in Canada’s energy and industrial sectors, and served in progressively responsible senior IR roles for more than 10 years, most recently with Canetic Resources Trust and Suncor Energy.
Kerk has a degree in communications from Mount Royal University.
