Disaster Recovery

Business Continuity Plan

We protect the investments entrusted to us in several ways.

PI Financial Corp (PI) recognizes that our clients rely on our systems and services.

PI has developed a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that will allow key operation to be re-established should a significant business disruption occur at our Vancouver Head Office or one of our branch offices.

The Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is currently targeted at 24 hours or less for critical systems such as Trading, Institutional Sales, Client Services, Credit and Accounting. Other functions that will not have an immediate impact on ongoing business such as Corporate Finance and Compliance have a targeted RTO of 48 hours or less.

The BCP is based on a worst-case scenario thus eliminating the postulation of lesser case disruptions. Key business dependent technology components have been co-located into a “hardened” back-up site. Essential business staff would relocate to the alternate back-up site.

In the event of an outage, clients should experience minimal downtime in their ability to contact PI. There are pre-established, tested processes for re-routing of our critical telephone numbers.

PI’s BCP is tested at least annually.

PI’s critical contact numbers are below (please use these numbers regardless of residency). Clients with Investment Advisors should continue contacting their Advisors for questions they have on their accounts.
